Terms & Conditions

The Northwest Regional Learning Consortium (NRLC) offers professional learning opportunities for all K-12 educational stakeholders including educators, parents, and community members. These learning opportunities may be in person, online, or a combination thereof. Please see the specific delivery details of each learning opportunity as posted. NRLC does not pay the cost of participant fees or travel required to attend a learning opportunity.

Professional Development Resources are freely provided in support of improved teaching and learning under the following Creative Commons license; please note the terms and conditions under which you may access them.

NRLC requires pre-registration online for all learning opportunities (unless otherwise stated) at least 10 days prior to the delivery date. Registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis. Register early to avoid disappointment. Once you submit your online registration, you will receive an automatic response indicating receipt of you registration.

If you do not receive a detailed email confirming the learning opportunity(ies) for which you have registered, your registration was not correctly completed and you may not be registered. If you have questions about your registration, call us at 780-882-7988.

All pre-registered participants will receive a reminder email at least 7 days prior to the event; unless otherwise specified for the event.

NRLC reserves the right to turn away participants who have not pre-registered and walk in on the delivery date.

Payment will be accepted by NRLC by way of credit card online, or by cheque to be paid later. Any applicable refunds will be in accordance with event terms.

The NRLC does host online registration for partner and stakeholder events from time to time (i.e. CASS). In such cases, the stakeholder event terms and policies will be identified within the event registration and will supersede any internal NRLC policy or term.

NRLC Cancellation and Refund Policy:

NRLC reserves the right to cancel any pending Learning Opportunity, including single workshops, session, or series. In such cases, cancellation notice will be sent to all pre-registered participants via the email used in the online registration. The Northwest Regional Learning Consortium website www.nrlc.net also identifies programs that have been cancelled. Paid registration fees for events cancelled by the NRLC, will be fully refunded without penalty in the same format in which payment was received and processed, please allow for 3-5 business days.

Participant Cancellation Notice and Refund Policy:

Pre-registered participants may cancel at any time; however NRLC requires at least three (3) business days (72 hours prior to start time) notice of cancellation from participants to avoid any applicable registration fees; unless there is a special event policy in place which will supersede the standard notice. All pre-registered participants will receive a reminder email at least 7 days prior to the event; unless otherwise specified for the event. Participant cancellation must be sent to register@nrlc.net (or reply to the registration confirmation or reminder email), or made by telephone 780-882-7988 quoting your name, program name and invoice number.

Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. Any outstanding registration fees for registered participants who do not attend will be invoiced. An alternate attendee will be accepted at no additional cost in place of a registered participant unable to attend. This alternate person would need to provide registration information at the session. All outstanding fees are due and payable in accordance with this policy.

Paid registration fees refunds for unique and or late cancellations (ie. disastrous weather, medical, etc) will be considered on an individual basis in accordance with the specific event terms; please contact the NRLC office 780-882-7988 to discuss these.

Any applicable refunds will be made in the same format in which payment was received and processed, please allow for 3-5 business days. In some cases there may be a processing fee withheld, and will be identified within the event registration.
