The National Archery in the Schools Program's focus is to provide International Style Target Archery training in physical education classes grades 4-12. It is designed to allow students of all backgrounds and abilities to flourish.
Participants will engage in an 8-hour Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) Training Program, which will cover range safety procedures, archery equipment and nomenclature, master eye and string bow, coaching techniques and 11 steps to successful archery. Participants will receive Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) certification with National Archery in Schools Program(NASP) and be granted a membership with Alberta Hunter Education Instructors' Association (AHEIA) which provides $10 M liability coverage for BAI certified instructors and all students that participate in NASP during the school year. Once teachers have successfully completed this program, equipment can then be ordered through NASP®.
