Carly Stewart and Morgan Hall, Occupational Therapists, Mélise Sears, Speech-Language Pathologist, and Vicki Juneau, Registered Psychologist will be presenting on Social Referencing Throughout the School Day. This is an INTRODUCTORY workshop to social referencing; based on the ‘Reference and Regulate’ program by David Loyst & Associates (randrforautism.com). 

They will review the stages of the reference and regulate program, share ideas on direct intervention strategies, discuss sensory regulation and its role in learning, review attachment and its importance in relationship building for social referencing, and provide information and ideas on how to incorporate social referencing throughout the school day.  Participants will leave with a better understanding of social referencing and will have the opportunity to brainstorm and share ideas on how to facilitate social referencing skills in the school environment.

Lunch will be 30 minutes and will be provided to participants attending in person in Grande Prairie.
