Learning Opportunities

New Blood is an interdisciplinary dance piece that explores the idea of reconciliation. Inspired by childhood experiences in residential schools reflected in the poems of Chief Dan George, called Grandchild, and The Indian and the Child, from Siksika chief ,Vincent Yellow Old Woman, Strathmore High School choreographer/teacher Deanne Bertsch,  incorporated poetry, music and dance into a dramatic and moving student performance.

This live stream showing of the English Language, with subtitles in French, pre-recorded performance will be followed by an opportunity for students to ask questions to a panel of Elders and Knowledge Keepers.
