Join Shelley Moore as she coaches School Team participants through an inquiry series to support diversity learning in your classroom.
Participants are requested to register as a “School Team”, with a maximum of 8 participants per team.The classroom teacher, and inclusive education coordinator of the class/school are required to be a part of team and attend each session, with up to 6 additional members of the learning team including, if possible, the educational assistant and school administrator(s).

Based in Bowen Island, British Columbia Canada, Shelley is an inclusive education researcher, collaborator, consultant and storyteller who has worked with school districts and community organizations throughout Canada and the United States. Her interactive presentations integrate theory and effective practices of inclusion, special education, curriculum and technology. She completed an undergraduate degree in Special Education at the University of Alberta, her masters at Simon Fraser University, and is currently a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) funded PhD scholar at the University of British Columbia. Shelley is the author of the best-selling book One Without the Other: Stories of unity through diversity and inclusion, and an award winning SSHRC research storyteller and a TEDx speaker highlighting her work in presuming competence

Each participant is required to bring their own electronic personal device to both in-person and virtual sessions as you will need to access documents during the sessions.
Each School Team is required to choose a target class as the focus of their learning work throughout the year. Each School Team is required to bring a copy of their chosen target class list as well as copies of any IPPS for students within the target class.
Participants are requested to register as a “School Team”, with a minimum of 2 (classroom teacher, and inclusive education coordinator of the class/school) and a maximum of 8 participants per each team. If possible the educational assistant and school administrator(s) should also be a part of the school team.
