Are you a high school social studies, science or outdoor ed teacher? Are you looking for an interactive, competitive, and hands-on learning experience for your students? Then you should check out the provincial ENVIROTHON event - a team based, academic, environmental education competition. Lakeland College is hosting the Alberta chapter of Envirothon, on campus, in May 2022, with the theme of "Waste to Resources". If you'd like to learn more about what's involved and to how to register and support a student team, please join us for this virtual info session. Jenn McGuinness, Environmental Science instructor at Lakeland College, and Envirothon Board member, will give details about what the 3-day event involves, how to recruit and help prepare a team, and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note: Early Deadline for registering a team in the Envirothon is December 31, 2021.

This learning opportunity is being offered through a grant from Alberta Education.
