This session is ideal for parents and guardians of students with developmental disabilities ages 15-17.

Join case workers from the offices of Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Alberta and Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) Alberta as they explain the application process, eligibility and criteria for PDD and AISH. The team will also discuss how PDD services can be provided either through an approved PDD service provider or through Family Managed Services as well as the process for Guardian/Trusteeship for adult children after they are 18 years of age.

Martha MacIntyre is currently the only Public Guardian Representative in Grande Prairie. Martha has been with the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee for the last four years (and counting!)

Martha is a Registered Social Worker, and a proud Maritimer.

The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee - provides services, tools and support for personal and financial matters to vulnerable Albertans and their families.

OPGT Mission is: - To ensure the sustainable and efficient delivery of guardianship, trusteeship and related services to Albertans, while managing quality and risk and employing a sound evidence basis for our activities.
