Mental Health

Community Addiction & Mental Health will provide information on the range of services available for those who are concerned about their own or someone else’s substance use, gambling and/or mental health. The presenters will identify how to access these services in our community.

Alberta Supports

The Government of Alberta is streamlining its delivery of social-based supports to help Albertans get what they need when they need it. Alberta Supports is a service that can help Albertans connect with more than 120 government supports and community services by calling, clicking or coming in. Alberta Supports presentation will include an introduction of the provincial program of Alberta Supports and how to access these service in the local area.

GPRC

Accessibility Supports and Disability Services provides academic accommodations to students with disabilities, medical conditions and/or mental health needs. This would be an excellent opportunity to meet families and/or students that are planning to attend GPRC and to provide them with information on the eligibility and admission requirements, documentation requirements, as well as, financial aid and grants available to students with permanent disabilities.

PDD/AISH

PDD funds programs and services to help adult Albertans with developmental disabilities to be a part of their communities and live as independently as they can. The Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) Program provides a wide range of family-centred supports and services. Services are meant to help strengthen families’ ability to promote their child’s healthy development and encourage their child’s participation in activities at home and in the community.
