This webinar will offer you, as educational leader in your school or district, the opportunity to learn about strategies, processes, tools, and Indigenous resources for creating meaningful and practical educational plans to acquire and apply Indigenous foundational knowledge across your school community. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Reflect on your personal reasons for leading your school community on a journey of deepening their awareness, understanding and application of Indigenous foundational knowledge.
  • Reflect on your school or district’s readiness for creating awareness, understanding and application of Indigenous Foundational Knowledge.
  • Learn about planning tools that may assist you in designing comprehensive plans to create awareness, understanding and application of Indigenous Foundational Knowledge.
  • Learn about Indigenous resources and supports that could be embedded into your school or district plan.
  • View sample draft educational plans created by the instructional leaders from 3 different Alberta schools, and reflect on their insights, suggestions and recommendations for creating educational plans that build Indigenous foundational knowledge in their school community.
