About the Session:

How many kilometers separate your classroom from Paris or Buenos Aires? You know what? It doesn’t matter! Learn how to effectively incorporate authentic materials into your second language classroom to make the language and culture come alive. Explore the merits of authentic materials and tasks and learn how to find them without breaking your budget. Walk away with lots of practical activities and methods of assessment.

This learning opportunity is subsidized through a Federal Language Grant.

Quinton Stotz is currently teaching with Edmonton Public Schools at Strathcona High School, and is the president of the FSL special Interest group with SLIC (Second Language and Intercultural Council) with the ATA.

This learning opportunity is being provided through funding from Alberta Education.
