In this full-day workshop, we will be presenting some key elements for a better integration of oral interactive tasks for our FSL students. Looking at the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), we will see how planning more authentic oral tasks within French units helps students’ motivation in learning a second language. We will look into some examples of students’ assignments as well as formative and summative assessment strategies. Cultural components will also be embedded in the oral interaction tasks presented as a way to enrich students’ language learning experience and open a window to discuss intercultural competences.

This learning opportunity is subsidized through a Federal Language Grant.
