With the call to action through the TRC, we need to be more aware of the Indigenous perspectives that are being presented in classes.  We also need to understand protocol and important teachings within the CARC region which includes Treaty 6 and 7 territories as well as Métis perspectives.
We invite you to come and participate with us at one of two sites within the CARC region.  During the day, you will have the opportunity to listen to and converse with elders from Treaty 6 and Treaty 7, as well as a Métis elder.  They will share with you protocols and information they feel important to understand as educators.
Once you have had a chance to meet with all of the elders, we will participate in a sharing circle to bring forward our understanding of the day.
